That was then
and now it’s over
all that was is gone for good—
the honey days and stinking clovers
drifted by as well they should.
Now time trickles slowly by
forming spikes
and stalactites
in that frozen cave
you call your heart.
That was then
And now it’s over
there’s no more time
for me to brood—
all that was is gone forever—
that was then
and now it’s Heaven.
